Trying out the painting style. It started out as a side profile study..but somehow the more i add, the more 'meaningful' it becomes. Those grey things are factory chimneys.(I'm really lazy when it comes to backgrounds, especially when this is just a side profile study) If you can't read my terrible handwriting, it's the same as the title, "Why such gloom?"
The pollution in china is just as severe as its corruption and the days there are always hazy. Life there feels depressing and monotonous. I wonder how they breathe there.

It does feel very gloomy. Though I didn't recognise it was chimney...I though it was either an abstract background or an ant tunnel / underground cave with stalagmites and stalagcites. ^^" I'm also beginning to deviate from Fanart already...wanting to do some serious art that could act as commentaries on Societal stuff.
